A registered sex offender, who was arrested in Denton for allegedly stalking a college student, is in jail without bail.
Jeremy Wicker's criminal history already included online solicitation of a minor and several harassment charges.
But News 8 has learned Wicker has one more case pending in another county, and this one involves a teenager.
The face of a registered sex offender is one that Jason Janacek, a father of three girls, knows all too well.
"This man does not need to be out of jail," he said.
When he saw that Wicker was in jail accused of stalking a 21-year-old woman, it reminded him of the ordeal he and his family went through. "It sent chills down my body," he said.
Last year, Janacek posted an ad on craigslist to help his daughter find babysitting jobs.
"We thought we were being careful. We used my wife's cell number. We would talk to parents before they would even meet my daughter," he said.
But at one point, when his daughter had the cell phone, he says Wicker made contact, sending his then 14-year-old daughter threatening texts and sexually explicit e-mails.
"He wanted to know what she was wearing," Janacek said. "It got to the point to, 'I know where you live, I know where you are, I am coming to get you.'"
Janacek said Wicker showed up at his daughter's school and even sat in the bleachers at football and basketball games.
"He was hoping someone would call out her name out so he can pinpoint her," Janacek said.
He contacted McKinney police.
The Collin County district attorney confirmed to News 8 the case against Wicker is still open.
Janacek is a father waiting for his day in court, hoping Wicker never gets out of jail again.
"He definitely doesn't need to be out of jail," Janacek said. "He doesn't need to be walking the streets, because next time, who knows what's going to happen?"
