DALLAS -- Dallas police have released the affidavits in the arrest of the alleged Katy Trail robber.
A finger print off a purse and a crime stopper tip is what led police to Dominique Thornton.
Court records show police were called after a man found a purse that was taken from one of the victims. The purse was dumped on a patio of an apartment after one of the robberies.
Police pulled a finger print off the purse and linked it to Thornton. Police also received a Crime Stoppers tip, so Thornton was already a person of interest.
Once police got a match on the print they issued an arrest warrant.
As News 8 first reported early Sunday morning, Grand Prairie police pulled Thornton over for speeding on Interstate 20. He was arrested.
He has been charged with three or the 14 robberies near the Katy Trial and Uptown.
