DALLAS — Two people were shot outside a home in West Dallas on Saturday afternoon.
Markiest Crayton, 28, was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police were called to the shooting scene in the 3300 block of Puget Street around 1:15 p.m. — about 15 minutes after officers had cleared a disturbance involving a large group of people at that location.
"This disturbance appears to be a continuation of conflict between several individuals that live in the neighborhood," said Dallas police spokeswoman Senior Cpl. Cherri Jeffrey.
Jeffrey seaid the shooting suspect remained at large on Saturday evening.
