DALLAS — Dallas police said Wednesday they have arrested two additional juveniles in connection with the death of a young man who was pushed into the path of a DART train during a robbery attempt last week.
Police spokeswoman Senior Cpl. Sherri Jeffrey said a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old join two juveniles already in custody facing capital murder charges.
Witnesses said Octavius Lanier, 19, was allegedly shoved from behind by the suspects at the MLK Station in South Dallas on November 22. Lanier was dragged about 30 feet and an artery in his leg was severed.
He died a short time later at Baylor University Medical Center.
Police said the grisly scene was witnessed by at least seven people and was captured by security cameras on the DART platform.
