DALLAS — A man and a woman were found dead inside an apartment in Northeast Dallas Saturday afternoon.

Police said a relative who went to the upstairs apartment in the 7100 block of Holly Hill Drive looked through a window and saw one person lying on the floor face down around 3:30 p.m.

Police and firefighters were called to enter the apartment in the Park Villa complex and discovered the second victim.

The victims, were identified as Simmie Lee Rochelle, 34, and Cemondria Williams, 40. Police said they had been shot.

Neighbors directly underneath the upstairs apartment where the bodies were found said they heard pushing and screaming at around 5 a.m. Saturday. Apartment management confirmed that police had been at the location earlier Saturday morning.

The man and the woman who were found in the apartment were not the people who were named on the lease.

Detectives were investigating the case as a homicide, and witnesses were being interviewed into the evening hours.

The names of the victims were not released, and no information was provided about the manner of death.
