EL PASO - Jabin Bogan, the Dallas truck driver who was taken into custody in Mexico on April 18 after trying to drive across the border with thousands of round of ammunition, was formally charged Tuesday.

Bogan's mother, girlfriend and boss went to El Paso this week to try to get him out of jail. They claim his arrest was a horrible mistake.

Bogan tried to do a U-turn at the border after his employer said he made a wrong turn. He was supposed to be transporting 268,000 rounds of ammunition to a company in Phoenix.

News 8 is working to confirm the details of those charges.
