DALLAS — Dallas police said two people were killed and a third was wounded Sunday afternoon in a shooting in the city's Red Bird neighborhood.
In a strange addition to the fatal shooting, the ambulance carrying the wounded person crashed just blocks from the hospital. Two firefighters and a civilian suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses called 911 after hearing shots fired from a residence in the 300 block of Annarose Drive.
Police found two men in their early 30s fatally shot inside the one-story home.
A third person was found outside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting victim's condition did not worsen in the crash on the way to Methodist Dallas Medical Center and he is expected to survive.
Police said detectives were interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, but no description of a suspect or suspects was available.
The names of the victims have not been released.
