HOUSTON — Three people were found shot dead at the Pines of Northwest Crossing Apartments in northwest Houston Sunday evening.
According to the Houston Police Department, they were all shot execution-style. Neighbors heard the gunfire and called 911.
It happened just before 6:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Hillmont near Hollister.
"It scares me; I have kids," said Maria Serna, a neighbor who was walking over to a friend's house.
Investigators said two women and one man were killed during the home invasion. There was evidence of forced entry into the apartment.
"Two Hispanic females and one Hispanic male, unknown age," said Police Sgt. Christopher Hassig, with the HPD's Homicide Division.
"Supposedly, it's a prostitute's house and they killed two females and a male. Everybody knows about them around here," Serna said.
Investigators said the victims were shot several times in the first floor loft-style apartment. They were all found in close proximity, and they may have been slain with a shotgun.
"It looks like they were shot execution style, in-between the living room and the kitchen area. There is a great deal of disarray," said Hassig.
"I know we pass by here, there were three or four guys here in white. I don't know if it was them or not. I don't even want to come outside anymore," said Erica Serna, a neighbor.
It's unclear what the suspects were after. Investigators are looking for three to four suspects who took off in a black colored car. No other description was available.
