FORT WORTH — Texas Christian University is responding to reports of another student arrest, but this time, drugs are not involved.
Police arrested Casey Tounget, the president of the Interfraternity Council on Friday along with two others. Tounget is accused of furnishing alcohol to minors at an off-campus party.
Officers went there to investigate after reports emerged that somebody was trying to set someone on fire with a blow torch.
Police never found a blow torch, but they did report finding 11 underage drinkers. Police did not say if any are TCU students.
The university called Tounget's arrest unfortunate so close to a series of drug arrests earlier this week.
"We believe the vast majority of our students make wise choices," said TCU spokeswoman Lisa Albert in a written statement. "The few who don't must learn to be like the majority who do."
