FORT WORTH -- A man and woman have been arrested in South Carolina for the robbery and death of a man last month in Fort Worth.

The car of Marion Brown, 53, was found burned on May 23 in Smith County near Tyler, Texas. His body was pulled from Cross Lake in Shreveport a day later, according to our content partners at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Damonica Laniesha Evans, 25, and Brandon Bernard Daniels, 30, are accused of luring Brown to an apartment complex in Fort Worth through an online escort service, the paper reports. They allegedly robbed and beat him.

Evans and Daniels fled the state but were arrested by authorities in Florence County, South Carolina. They are being held on capital murder charges and have warrants for aggravated robbery.
