GRAND PRAIRIE -- A routine traffic stop ended with road spikes and crowd control Friday morning.
Grand Prairie police say the driver of a silver Jaguar sedan was speeding and refused to stop. That's when road spikes were tossed, blowing out his tires.
The driver jumped a curb and stopped on Gannon near the Southwest Center Mall in Dallas.
As the suspect was being arrested, officers had to turn their attention to a crowd of about 50 people trying to catch the drama on their smartphones.
