DALLAS — A South Dallas fast food restaurant employee has died after being shot during an argument on Sunday afternoon.

A police report said the assailant entered the Williams Chicken location at 3009 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, pointed a handgun at Antral Franklin, and fired multiple times.

Franklin, 33, was shot in the chest. The Balch Springs resident later died.

"All I heard was three shots. I'm like, 'Wow, this was really close. What was that?'" said Charles Crisler, who works security next door.

"I just so happened to be coming through at that precise time that that guy was running outside of that back door, shooting at that guy... and I was right in the path," said Marcus Harris, who also witnessed the shooting.

He said he feared for his life. "I just started running, getting out of the way!"

Dallas police said they're still searching for the gunman, who was reportedly driving a four-door Toyota sedan.
