SMU student indicted on rape charge

DALLAS - Donald Samuel Cuba, a 20-year-old SMU student, has been charged with the rape of a fellow student last February.

Cuba was booked on a second-degree sexual assault charge and released after posting a $15,000 bond on Sept. 10, according to court documents.

According to an SMU crime alert from February, on Feb. 13, 2012, a student reported a sexual assault in a residence hall to university officials. The student claimed the assault occurred during the early morning hours of Feb. 10, 2012.
