Richardson police need the public's help identifying a man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman leaving a club near Belt Line and Plano Roads over the weekend.

Department spokesman Sgt. Kevin Perlich said the woman left the business around midnight Sunday. As she was walking to her small, black SUV, Perlich said a man grabbed her from behind and forced her into her vehicle at knife point.

He ordered her to drive to the 900 block of East Belt Line Road and pull off into a parking lot. Perlich says the man sexually assaulted her on the ground outside the vehicle and then fled on foot.

The suspect is a white man who stands 5'9'' and is between 40 and 50 years old. Perlich said he was unshaven at the time of the attack and had graying brown hair that fell to his shoulders.

"He had yellow teeth, mumbled speech, body odor and the smell of alcohol about his person," Perlich wrote in a release.

The suspect may be homeless and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with jeans and black shoes.

If you can help Richardson police identify the man, you're asked to call the department at 972.744.4801.
