ARLINGTON — A spokeswoman with the Arlington Police Department revealed authorities have identified a person of interest in the case of a hit-and-run accident that left a senior hospitalized.

"We have not made an arrest," said Tiara Richardson Wednesday morning. "However, a person of interest has been identified."

Terry Pinkston, 73, was propelled several feet when he was struck by a car from behind during a walk in the evening hours on Saturday in a North Arlington neighborhood.

His daughter, Shannon Pinkston, said her father suffered a broken vertebrae and busted sacrum and pelvis.

Pinkston said police called her Tuesday afternoon and told her "they had the car and we're looking for the person attached to it."
