HOUSTON – A woman was charged with two felonies after an officer stopped her for driving on the wrong side of the road Tuesday in the 200 block of Highway 90 A in Richmond, police said.

Shortly after midnight a Richmond police officer pulled over Pamela Kay Charbula, 50, of Inez, Texas after she almost struck a Rosenberg police unit head on as she was driving on the wrong side of the road coming into Richmond from Houston, police said.

Police said Charbula had been drinking prior to the stop and further investigation revealed that she had just purchased one pound of marijuana, which was located in her vehicle.

Charbula was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, and possession of marijuana. She was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail where she was awaiting bond.
