Paris police detectives are appealing to the public for information regarding the murder of four men inside a home last week.
Police Chief Bob Hundley said Monday that the preliminary autopsy report proves investigators’ suspicions that the four were shot dead by someone who fled the scene. They ruled out murder-suicide early in the investigation.
At 11 p.m. on Oct. 9, police were called to a home in the 400 block of NE 6th Street after reports of gunshots. When they arrived, they found the bodies of Devante Akins, Billy Carey, Romello Steward and Brijonne Woods. All four had been shot.
The medical examiner has deemed their causes of death as homicide. Hundley says the department has received “several tips from various sources” but it has not located any suspects.
“Detectives have conducted numerous interviews with individuals who have come forward with varying degrees of information, but no arrests have been made,” he writes in a release.
As such, the department is again asking for tips from the public to help find those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Leigh Foreman at 903.737.4163 or CrimeStoppers at 903.785.8411.
