DALLAS - After the third deadly incident in four months involving DART, News 8 wanted to find out how prevalent DART officers are on the rail line.

Our photojournalist spent four hours riding the rails to get a perspective on security.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, he rode from Union Station to Parker Road in Plano and back, while getting on and off multiple times. In all, he rode a total of seven trains.

During that time, he saw two DART officers actually riding the train, and six officers near the rail stops and along the platforms.
