ARLINGTON - A 10-year-old boy is back home with his parents after he went missing overnight in Arlington.
Arlington police searched for Exance Esao after receiving a call Tuesday night that the boy had not been seen by his mother since 4:30 p.m. Authorities turned to Twitter to release updates and reach out to the public.
A family friend reported a possible sighting of the boy at about 9:25 p.m. at a local convenience store.
Bike and patrol officers searched the streets, and Esao was spotted around midnight by Officer Bobby Muguerza about a quarter of a mile from his home.
The boy told police he received a bad grade at school and was afraid to go home. He said he began to head home after it became cold.
