McKINNEY — An arrest in McKinney is creating a lot of concern for parents.

David Russell, a chiropractor popular with students and athletes, is accused of sexually assaulting at least two children.

Police said the alleged incidents happened at his office, Russell Chiropractic.

Client Angie Kennedy told News 8 that Russell and his employees were part of a stretching and conditioning course at Taylor Dance Studio.

"He has been in practice for a very long time," she said. "My daughter was a gymnast before here, and you know the way we've been treated is wonderful, so yes, it's shocking and sad in every direction."

Detectives allege that Russell, 42, met his first victim at the dance studio.  He was arrested October 28.  Investigators arrested him again last Friday for the second alleged incident.

"While the investigation was ongoing, we got another call from a second victim who was also a student at Taylor Dance Studio," said McKinney police spokesman Lt. Mark Moyle.

The owner of the studio is cooperating with the investigation.

"She is very surprised by what's happening," said Oscar Gonzalez, a lawyer representing the dance school. "She didn't know about the incidents. Had she known, she would have taken more steps."

News 8 contacted Russell, who said "the allegations are completely false and baseless."

David Russell is free on $100,000 bond.
