MCKINNEY -- A McKinney chiropractor, already facing four charges of sexually assaulting female patients was arrested Tuesday on a fifth charge.
Dr. David Russell is now accused of sexually assaulting three minor patients and two adult patients.
On Tuesday morning, he turned himself in to McKinney police, paid a $50,000 bond, and was released in less than one hour.
On Monday, a warrant was issued for Russell's arrest. Beyond that, McKinney police are not releasing any information.
The 43-year-old’s case gained attention after it was discovered that police failed to act on two tips alleging that Russell had assaulted female patients.
It is not known if this alleged assault happened during the nine-month time frame after those tips came in, but before Russell was initially arrested.
Russell's attorney said his client is innocent and intends to fight the charges. His chiropractic license is currently suspended.
