CARROLTON -- A man who was drunk driving last July and caused a deadly crash has been convicted of second degree felony manslaughter and sentenced to 16 years in prison.
On July 6, 2013, Carrolton police were called to southbound Interstate 35 near Sandy Lake Road for reports of a crash.
Andrew Davis III was driving a black Pontiac when he hit a Ford pickup, causing the truck driver to lose control and hit a road sign. The driver was killed and Davis was arrested.
On May 1, Davis was found guilty of felony manslaughter and received his sentence.
