DALLAS  — Police in Dallas announced the arrest of an 18-year-old male in the death of a man whose body was found with a fatal wound to the head Tuesday.

According to an arrest warrant, Naing Myo Swe struck 19-year-old Anthwan Clinton in the back of his head with a hammer.

Authorities were first alerted to the murder when two friends of the victim flagged down a police officer. The man and woman told the officer they found their friend dead inside an apartment where he was known to use drugs.

The pair went to the apartment, located in the 7200 block of Fair Oaks, after they hadn't heard from Clinton in two days. Upon their arrival, they found the apartment door ajar and their friend's body "wrapped in a blanket with blunt force trauma to the head."

Police said several witnesses identified the murderer as Naing Myo Swe.

Authorities located Swe and and 18-year-old A. Sow, who's suspected of tampering with evidence, attempting to re-enter the United States from the Laredo border. Police said both men confessed to the FBI their roles in the crime.
