DALLAS — The man accused of raping three woman in Lake Highlands last year was back in a Dallas County courtroom Friday.

Cesar Benitez pleaded guilty to attacks that occurred in February and March of 2013. A judge will decide what punishment he'll face.

Prosecutors called several witnesses to the stand Friday morning. Among the witnesses were two women who said Benitez peeped on them while they changed clothes in dressing rooms. The incidents happened back in 2011, years before Benitez was accused of sexually assaulting several women in Lake Highlands.

In one case, a woman was attacked in the 10000 block of Ferndale Rd. Three weeks later, in the same block but at a different house, another woman was sexually assaulted.

In at least one case, authorities said the alleged attacker kicked down a door.

Benitez was arrested after investigators received an anonymous tip. Police said he later confessed to three of the rapes that occurred.

Benitez is held on $4.5 million bond. He reportedly pleaded guilty because he didn't want to put the victims through a trial.

Benitez faces five years to life in prison.
