FORT WORTH -- The Fort Worth woman accused of kidnapping her own daughter was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning, but that hearing has now been postponed until March 7.
Kimberly Smith was expected to face a Tarrant County judge for the first time at 9 a.m.
Smith is accused of abducting her 11-year-old daughter Jessica last month.
Her actions sparked a nationwide Amber Alert. Both were found safely days later in a remote New Mexico forest.
Jessica is in the custody of her grandparents.
Kimberly Smith is charged with felony kidnapping and could face life in prison.
