DART police have arrested a man for kidnapping two women and sexually assaulting one of them on Sunday.

Detectives said 18-year-old Israel Tovar saw the two women in their car at Kiest Park in South Oak Cliff.

According to an affivadit, one of victims — who is two months' pregnant ‐ was then sexually assaulted.

Police said Tovar, armed with a BB gun, forced the pair to drive him to several locations to get money. One of the stops was in Garland, where one of the women was able to notify police.

The suspect allegedly drove his car in reverse for a quarter of a mile in an attempt to escape. When his vehicle crashed into a parked car, he fled. Police dogs tracked his scent to a nearby DART station.

DART police saw a man matching the suspect's description at a downtown Dallas station and arrested him.

Bond was set at $200,000.
