MANSFIELD — The city of Mansfield says all property squatters have now been removed from houses they claimed were theirs through the state's controversial "adverse possession" law.

Police arrested three people on burglary and theft charges Saturday: Selena and Andre Brown and Selena's mother, Sandra LaTour.

The Browns —  who moved into the house in the 2300 block of Hillgrove Court two months ago — had vacated the property last week after their brother was arrested following an eviction hearing.

But when they returned Saturday to try to remove their belongings before police arrived to supervise, they were arrested on site for burglary and theft.
