A Hood County couple remains in jail on child abuse charges.
Investigators said the eight-month-old son of Justin and Brittany Alston wasn't being fed and his skin was flaking off when he was taken into custody.
The sheriff said he has never seen such a severe case of child neglect.
The Alstons are charged with injury to a child and endangering a child. There's no word on the medical condition of their son.
