GRAND PRARIE - Police in Grand Prairie have reached out to the public as they search for a suspect in the murder of a 26-year-old mother.

Elisa Johnson, also known as "Kiki," was found dead inside her apartment after her three-year-old child was seen walking alone in the parking lot of the Williamsburg Apartments on the morning of July 6. Upon arriving to Johnson' apartment, officers found her front door partially open and the mother dead inside.

In a statement released Tuesday, police said Johnson's last known contact was on July 3 between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Anyone who has information pertaining to her death or believes they spotted suspicious activity related to the investigation is asked to call either Crime Stoppers at 972-988-8477 or the Grand Prairie Police Department at 972-237-8877.
