LEWISVILLE - As police continue to search for her killer, the funeral for Maria Corona took place Monday.

The 44-year-old mother of six was found murdered by a chainsaw on April 26. Her body was found by a postal worker in the front of the Lewisville home she shared with her husband and children.

Autopsy results revealed Corona was alive when she was decaptitated.

Capt. Kevin Deaver said it was the worst murder scene he had seen in his career.

The service began at 2 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Coppell.

Police are searching for Jose Fernando Corona, Maria's husband. He is the only suspect in her death.
