FRISCO - A licensed therapist who works at a counseling and therapy center for children was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child, according to a statement released by the Frisco Police Department Friday afternoon.

Ronald Joseph Hodgkiss, 46, works at the Frisco Adolescent Counseling and Therapy Center. Frisco police said they arrested Hodgkiss in connection to an inappropriate relationship he had with a 16-year-old girl he was counseling at the center.

Hodgkiss is a licensed professional councilor, a scout leader and active in the community, where he has lived for years.

Authorities said it is unclear if there are any other victims, but detectives want parents to question their children about it.

"It does concern us, because this is a person of trust, and this person violated that trust, and victimized someone who was depending on him to help that person," said Greg Barnett with the Frisco police.

Specifics of the allegation were unclear Friday afternoon, as the Frisco police have not yet released the arrest report.

No one was at Hodgkiss' office Friday and two voicemails at the office were not immediately returned.

Hodgkiss is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Frisco Police Department.
