Fort Worth police release photos to help solve 1995 murder

On May 1, 1995, James Earl Harris, 48, was stabbed and killed in his apartment on McCurdy Street. Surveillance photos show him walking into a Stop-N-Shop store on Riverside Drive with another black male, who is believed to be the suspect in the case.

FORT WORTH -- Police in Fort Worth are asking for help in solving a cold case murder from 19 years ago.

On May 1, 1995, James Earl Harris, 48, was stabbed and killed in his apartment on McCurdy Street.

Surveillance photos show him walking into a Stop-N-Shop store on Riverside Drive with another black male, who is believed to be the suspect in the case.

He is described as being in his late 20s to early 30s with reddish-brown hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing a striped shirt and tan pants at the time. Police believe he lived in the Woodhaven area.
