FORT WORTH — Late Monday afternoon, Fort Worth police said Bruce Rogers — the man who was originally arrested for capital murder in the murder of high school student Eric Forrester — is no longer a suspect in that crime.
Rogers was arrested last Wednesday, minutes after police released his photo as a wanted suspect.
Rogers told News 8 from behind bars that he was innocent.
Police said Rogers remains jailed as the prime suspect in an unrelated armed robbery case in Crowley.
Two juveniles are now in custody in connection with Forrester's death.
