FORT WORTH — Arson investigators were looking on Monday for the people in a pickup and a sedan that were seen on home security videos near some of the nine car fires that broke out early Saturday on the city’s south side.

Firefighters responded to the fires between 4:02 a.m. to 4:41 a.m. Saturday in a 2.5-mile area northwest of the intersection of Hemphill Street and West Berry Street. Much of the area is in the Ryan Place neighborhood.

Investigators are confident that the blazes were purposely set.
