PLANO - Daniel Salas, 30, has been indicted on a charge of having an improper relationship with a student while he was a teacher at Plano East High School.

The alleged victim was a female over the age of 16. The incident occurred in October, according to the Collin County district attorney's office.

Plano police spokesman Rick McDonald said Salas was arrested in December.

Salas, who no longer works for the district, could not be reached for comment. A spokeswoman for the district declined to comment.
