FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Terrance Black appeared in an Arizona courtroom on Monday; it's the first time we've seen him since he jumped into the Grand Canyon on April 22.
Black is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Susan Loper of Frisco. The body of the fitness trainer at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano was found in a field in Frisco on April 20.
Black was wheeled into a courtroom in Flagstaff wearing a neck brace following treatment for his injuries.
Black's hands were shaking visibly as he refused to waive his right to an extradition hearing. The judge set a date for that hearing later this month.
Bail for Black is set at $1 million.
