FORT WORTH - Police say a teen who was found shot in the head near the back door of a duplex in Fort Worth was in the midst of a robbery with two male accomplices when the fatal shooting occurred.

A renter of the duplex, located on Overton Park West, called police after he returned to his home to find 17-year-old Claudia Hidic shot in the head near the back door on June 28. At the time, the identity of the teen was unknown and the renter told authorities he did not know her.

Police later identified the victim as Hidic. Authorities now say she was a suspect in a robbery at the house, and she went there with two other suspects, 21-year-old Curtis Fortenberry and 21-year-old Terrance Crumley. During the alleged robbery, shots were fired and Hidic was fatally struck in the head. It is still unclear who fired the fatal shot.

Warrants were issued for both men. Crumley turned himself into police and Fortenberry was already in police custody on unrelated charges.
