CARROLLTON — Dozens of animal lovers gathered Saturday to remember Justice, a four-month-old puppy that was set on fire earlier this month.
Burial took place at Toothacres Pet Care Center in Carrollton.
Justice suffered severe burns to more than two-thirds of her body, and lived for more than a week before succumbing to his painful injuries.
The case drew outrage across North Texas, as investigators searched for the person who tortured her at a Pleasant Grove apartment complex.
Dallas police named Darius Ewing as a suspect; he turned himself in on Friday night. He faces an animal cruelty charge and bond was set at $100,000.
