Dallas police search for vehicle in Friday night hit-and-run

Police say a driver fatally hit a 50-year-old male pedestrian on the 4100 block of Cedar Spring Road Friday night and failed to stop and render aid. Detectives have asked for the public's help in identifying the vehicle used in the hit-and-run accident.

DALLAS - Police say a driver fatally hit a 50-year-old male pedestrian on the 4100 block of Cedar Springs Road Friday night and failed to stop and render aid. Detectives have asked for the public's help in identifying the vehicle used in the hit-and-run accident.

The offense took place Nov. 25 at 10:30 p.m. when the victim was crossing the street in the crosswalk. The suspect's vehicle, which police believe is possibly a Land Rover or Range Rover SUV with wraparound tail lights, was photographed as it sped away and turned left on to Throckmorton Street.

Next of kin notification has not been made yet on the victim, so his identity has not been released.
