DALLAS –– The Dallas Police Department is asking the public for help identifying three Hispanic men who were seen fighting with another man who was later found killed.

At about 11:33 p.m. on Dec. 4, Sr. Cpl. Demarquis Black says one of the three men pulled a gun and fatally shot Jose Orta-Sanchez at the Smith Drive Inn at 5315 Second Ave. When police responded, they found Sanchez, 41, with a bullet wound in the parking lot.

Black said a witness told police that he saw the four men fighting and that the three responsible fled in a 2000 model Ford Focus.

The department asks anyone who can help identify the three men to call Det. Layton at 214-283-482 or the homicide unit at 214.671.3661. All tips are anonymous and CrimeStoppers is offering $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
