DALLAS — Dallas police said Saturday they have issued an arrest warrant for Dominique Trevun Thornton in connection with a series of 14 recent holdups in the city's Uptown district and along the Katy Trail.

Police urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of Thornton, 22, to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 214-373-8477, online at iWatchDallas.net, or via text message to 274637.

Victims described two men who took part in the crimes along streets and the public trail since May 4. In most cases, cell phones and cash was taken.

No one has been seriously hurt in the assaults that have taken place at all times of the day and night, but several witnesses said the men were armed.

Police have added extra patrols and undercover officers in the areas targeted in the crime spree. A $5,000 reward was posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
