Dallas police say any teen under the age of 17 caught out on the town after midnight Friday -- without a parent -- will be picked up and fined up to $500.
The parents of the curfew violators can be cited, too.
This weekend's crackdown is the second of the summer.
There was a crackdown last night, from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. this morning.
Police say they have already picked up 22 teens, all found to be hanging out at pool halls and other popular teen hangouts.
Every single violator is brought back to Dallas police headquarters where the teens must remain until their parents come to claim them.
Police say it is so important to keep kids off the street late at night.
"After those hours at night they can become victims of criminal activity and also because those kids are in their group settings they can sometimes go out and commit criminal offenses themselves," said Lt. Robert Hinton, from Dallas Police Youth Services.
"We are trying to stop that from occurring," he said.
In all, 30 officers are going to be assigned to the crackdown Friday night.
They will be patrolling Saturday night, as well.
Their first crackdown in June resulted in 66 violators being picked up.
Another crackdown is planned before kids head back to school.
