DALLAS — Dallas police say a member of the force was arrested Sunday on a family violence assault charge.
Officer Rafael Mendoza has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of criminal and internal investigations.
Details of the alleged offense were not released.
Mendoza has been employed by the Dallas Police Department for two-and-a-half years and is assigned to the North Central Patrol Division.
