DALLAS — An armed intruder was shot and killed in South Dallas Saturday night by one of his intended victims.
Dallas police spokesman Officer Juan Fernandez said the robbery suspect was holding the occupants of an apartment in the 3500 block of East Overton Road at gunpoint when a 21-year-old pulled a gun from the cushions of a living room couch and opened fire.
The 28-year-old intruder was killed.
No names have been released.
Fernandez said all occupants of the apartment were questioned and that the shooter will be released.
A grand jury will review the circumstances of the fatal shooting.
