NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — A police pursuit that started with a carjacking in North Fort Worth ended in a crash on Loop 820 in North Richland Hills Friday afternoon.

The stolen pickup truck left the highway, skidded across Holiday Lane and became wedged under the overpass around 2:15 p.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was seen being loaded into an ambulance after the wreck. No condition was available.

Police reports indicated that the driver of the truck had been traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Loop 820 prior to the accident.

The investigation was slowing traffic on the highway.

Police said the armed driver of the truck is thought to have been responsible for at least two other carjackings.

Thankfully no one else was injured besides the driver driving the stolen truck. Hopefully he will be alright so he can be prosecuted. Check this out: www.thelakecountysentinel.com/newsarchivespage.html

I live about a mile from Holiday lane and 820. Heard a helicopter and sirens, but that's not unusual around here. Then watched the news and, wow. I hope we hear the rest of the story. What starts a carjack/police chase/crash at 2:00pm?
