ARLINGTON — The local branch of the League of United Latin American Citizens and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference are calling for an FBI investigation into a Taser incident in Arlington over the weekend.
Jonathan Pierce said he was standing outside a billiards hall in the 800 block of Secretary Drive early Sunday morning when he heard a vehicle crash in the parking lot and ran inside.
Moments later, he said an officer knocked him to the ground and Tased him. Pierce was not arrested, and he called it a case of mistaken identity.
The officer's supervisors and the department's internal affairs unit will review the incident.
