PLANO — Danny Saluny, who was wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Louisiana, was captured by police and U.S. Marshals in Plano on Friday night.

The 23-year-old suspect was wanted by authorities in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Plano police officers were assisting U.S. Marshals in serving a warrant for Saulny at the Eastside Village Apartments at 5 p.m. Friday when he fled on foot, Plano police spokeswoman Heather Bowden said.

He was taken into custody without incident about five hours later, police said, without releasing information about the circumstances.

Canine units and a Department of Public Safety helicopter had been helping marshals and police in the search for Saulny.
