DALLAS -- A 17-year-old was arrested Friday for the murder of a man who was discovered when he was dumped from a moving vehicle Tuesday morning near the intersection of a LBJ Freeway service road and Coit Road.
Police said around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Pedro Calixto-Velenta was seen falling from a white Chevy Blazer in the 7900 block of the service road. Police say he had multiple stab wounds, and was pronounced dead at Baylor Hospital.
A suspect in the SUV kept driving and hit another vehicle before the Blazer came to rest in a school parking lot. The suspect ran away on foot.
Crime scene investigators found two receipts inside the Blazer along with Calixto-Velenta's cell phone, which had texts that appeared to show he was arguing with someone.
Police tracked the number in those texts down to Gaspar Enciso, 17. Surveillance video from a bank showed Enciso with Calixto-Velenta as he withdrew money.
Detectives brought Enciso in for questioning, during which he said he stabbed Calixto-Velenta. He was placed under arrest and charged with murder.
Bond was set at $150,000.
