FORT WORTH -- Police arrested a 19-year-old for aggravated kidnapping after they say he tried to kidnap a jogger at gunpoint along the Trinity River earlier this month.

Griffin Jeremiah Littlejohn was arrested Friday night in connection with the incident, which occurred on Sunday, May 4.

A 28-year-old woman told police a man tried to stop her in the 1400 block of West 5th Street near Summit Avenue. Littlejohn allegedly pulled a gun on the woman and told her to come with him. Fort Worth Police Cpl. Tracey Knight said a passerby caused the suspect to flee.

"It was a brazen attempt during the day," Knight said. "There were other people walking around."
