CLEBURNE — Cleburne police say a suspect was shot and wounded by an officer Monday evening.
Officers pulled over two men in a car near on Poindexter Street near Main Street around 5:30 p.m. One of the men pulled a gun, according to police.
The officers struggled with the armed man, and one of them fired his service weapon.
The injured suspect was taken to a Fort Worth hospital; his condition was not available.
The officers were okay, and no one else was hurt.
Cleburne police said the Texas Rangers will conduct an investigation of the incident.
